Esmeralda Spillman is a friend of mine who decided it was time to bring in some income. She is a mother to six children, so she was looking for something to fit into her busy schedule. Being a mom, she still wanted to be available to her children, so she decided to seek out something in the work from home route.
So what do you do when you want to work from home? For Esmeralda, the answer was doing research about direct sales online. In her research, she came across Paparazzi Accessories. She read up about the company, talked it over with her husband, and decided, being a jewelry lover, this would be a perfect fit for her and her family.
“I choose this business because I love jewelry. I mean come on who doesn’t right. 🙂
Also because jewelry always makes a girl or women feel beautiful and makes them want to dress up. I wanted to be a part of that.”
Esmeralda now sells jewelry and accessories through her Facebook account, as well as through an online store. She has been doing this for two months now, and says she can see herself selling Paparazzi Accessories for a very long time.
“I work my own hours which is great and my kids can also be involved with. My kids even help me sometime on my LIVE sales which is great.”
Just to give you an idea of what she is selling, I took some pictures of some of the pieces I have purchased from her.

I asked Esmeralda what are some of the rewards of her business.
Reward:
“The most rewarding aspect of my work is seeing and hearing from my customers. Seeing the pictures they post of them wearing their jewelry and hearing then say that it makes them feel better and beautiful.”
I also asked her about the challenges.
Challenge:
“The most challenging I would say is trying to find pieces of jewelry that each of my customers like and love because sometimes they won’t have anything they like but at times they do.”
Esmeralda has been learning quite a bit in the last two months about how to make her business work. She says it takes patience to do this, but it will be worth it if you stick to it.
Her words of wisdom:
“Don’t give up when you hit a down patch. It will pick back up. Just keep going.”
And what advice does she have for starting any type of work at home business?
“I would tell them to buy stuff they would need like displays, pens, paper, desk if needed etc.… so you can have all that before you start your business.”
Obviously there is some preparation that goes into working from home. The biggest part of that preparation is determining what you want to do. On that note, let me share with you Esmeralda’s parting words.
“I’ve only been at this for 2 months and I really do love it. Its fun and you get to interact with people and meet new ladies too. Just pick something you love when you start looking at different business sales.”
