Goodbye- A Poem

Let’s just say,

I hate today

I hate tomorrow too.

My battle to choose,

win or lose

I can’t deal with you.

Why do I try,

it only makes me cry

I’m failing at every turn.

You’re causing me fear,

I need you to hear

It’s you I need to spurn.

Let’s not keep in touch,

I can’t be your crutch

This mountain I can no longer climb.

I don’t care if you understand,

can’t keep your head in the sand

Why waste any more of our time?

I’m raising the bar,

this time you went too far

You’ve kindled the anger in me.

Whatever it takes,

your lies I must forsake

It’s time for me to be free.
